  • This year Berkeley Lab led a unique, regional-scale carbon cycle campaign, conducted by researchers from multiple agencies and institutions, which produced data that will greatly improve the measurement and modeling of US carbon fluxes for the North American Carbon Program.
  • Margaret Torn was invited to testify on behalf of California Air Resources Board to the Federal EPA regarding the AB32 waiver, May 2007
  • Torn was also Invited to be a participant and rapporteur in National workshops to decide research priorities and future plans for the DOE Free Air Carbon Enrichment (FACE) program and the North American Carbon Program.
  • Bill Collins was Lead author on the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report (AR4): Climate Change 2007: The Physical Science Basis. Contribution of Working Group I to the Fourth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change .
  • Collins also authored an article in Scientific American regarding the IPCC’s latest findings on climate change. Collins et al. (2007) The Physical Science behind Climate Change; and he Chaired the 2007 Gordon Research Conference on Radiation and Climate.
