  • Regenesis will act as an industry partner, lending their expertise as a leader in bioremediation products and client interactions at similar sites. Since Regenesis is only a bioremediation product supplier (ORCTM and HRCTM) and not a remediation company they have a broader client base and can more easily promote technologies like this for a much larger number of potential sites. Though the project will use HRC the studies are focused on how lactate or similar simple organics could be used to bioreduce Cr (VI).

The project will provide opportunities for interfacing with other proposed projects at the site, such as Push-Pull tests and “Bug” traps (J. Istock and D. White, respectively). We will also link to the NABIR BASIC funded project at PNNL (G. Bilyard) to promote the public and regulatory acceptability of bioremediation for metals and radionuclides.
