Research
Interests:
Application
of isotopic systematics to terrestrial problems related to our understanding
of the origin, history, and current processes of the earth and solar
system. Specifically, noble gas isotope geochemistry as applied
to sources, geochemical evolution, transport processes, and flow
rates of fluids in the crust, cosmogenic and radiometric dating
techniques, tectano-magmatic processes, and paleoclimatology. Research
areas of application include geothermal energy, fossil energy, and
basic energy sciences. Specific titles are: (1) Integrated isotopic
studies of geochemical processes; (2) Isotopic and chemical composition
of fault zone fluids; (3) Geochemical and isotopic constraints on
processes in oil hydrogeology; and (4) Isotope geochemistry in geothermal
research.
