The Human Resources Center for the Earth Sciences Division is located on the 2nd floor of Building 90. Human Resources' mission is to foster the recruitment, retention and development of exceptional scientific, engineering, and operational talent to achieve Berkeley Lab’s mission.

Responsible for administering a variety of human resources programs including employee and labor relations; performance management; compensation; reclassifications and promotions; workforce planning; and providing consultation to supervisors and managers regarding HR policies and programs.

Responsible for providing recruitment for Earth Sciences including: creating postings, advertising open jobs, assisting with suitable search guidelines, preparing recruitment plans, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, and assistance with developing interview questions.

Provides HR administrative support and is responsible for the hiring of students, GSRAs, guests and contract labor; tracks and extends appointments for students, guests, limited and term employees; processes PAFs and Service Pins; maintains personnel files; and provides general information regarding HR procedures and programs.
