Biographical Summary
My first experience working at LBNL was as an undergraduate participating in a summer internship in Dr. Tamas Torok's laboratory. That rewarding experience lead to my return to LBNL upon completion of my undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin and the opportunity to work in Dr. Terry Hazen's laboratory. My time in the Hazen lab provided me with the benefit of not only witnessing some of the most interesting science going on in the world today, but also contributing towards that science. I had the priveledge of returning to the Torok laboratory in 2010 where I am currently a Senior Research Associate and focus on microbial diversity-based novel biotechnology applications.
