Discharge - the amount of water passing through a site. Measured in cubic feet per second (cfs)
Electrical Conductivity (EC) - the electrical conductivity of the water is a good estimate of it's salt content. EC is used with discharge to calculate salt load.
Flow - see discharge
.FSL Files - these files are Final Storage Label files which are created when logger programs are compiled. Each program has to define which parameters are sampled and in what order they are stored. When data is retrieved a corresponding .FSL file is associated which allows each column of data to correspond to its defined parameter. This can be thought of as labeled column headers when data is viewed in tabular format.
Quality Assurance (QA) - Measurements that are taken every time someone visits a field station to insure the accuracy of the logging equipment.
Salt Load - A measure of how much salt passes through a site. It is calculated by multiplying EC and discharge times a constant. Salt Load is usually measure in tons/day.
Stage - The depth of the water.
