Energy Resources Program
The Earth Sciences Division (ESD), Energy Resources Program is responsible for three major research areas: Oil and Gas Exploration and Development, Geothermal Energy Exploration and Development, and Methane Hydrate Exploration and Development. The Energy Resources Program's mission is to develop, through focused and applied fundamental research, earth technologies for production of energy in an environmentally responsible manner and to deploy these technologies through partnership with industry, government, and academia. The Energy Resources Program is current headed by Ernie Majer.
