There are two main objectives of the Energy Resources Program's geothermal energy development program: (1) to reduce uncertainties associated with finding, characterizing, and evaluating geothermal resources, and (2) to develop and understand the enhancement of current geothermal systems to significantly increase production, i.e., EGS. read more »
Our studies include numerical modeling and laboratory measurements to guide decisions on the feasibility of natural gas production from hydrate and to assess the relationship between hydrates and climate. read more »
