Early Career Discussion Group

Group Description

The Sustainable Systems SFA early career staff discussion group is open to all junior members (early-career scientists, postdocs, RAs, graduate students and technical staff) involved in the SFA, as well as others interested in subsurface biogeosciences.  The group meets for an hour once every three weeks, with the intent of improving communications and fostering collaborations between the teams working on the three interdisciplinary SFA  challenges  (schedule of meetings). The meetings start with a 10 to 15-minute management update and a brief discussion on logistical matters relevant to the SFA. This is followed by a 45-minute presentation/discussion on a particular SFA-related topic. Speakers can choose any format to present their work, and are encouraged to use the meetings as an opportunity to put forth new ideas, discuss results from their research, or get feedback on issues with their model or experimental setups.
